Albert “Al” C. Menoche Sr. 73 of Crawford St died Thursday, April 19, 2007 on vacation in Niagra Falls, Ontario. He was the husband of Helen M. (Plasse) Menoche. He was born in Woonsocket a son of the late Olivier and Adeline (Coutu) Menoche.
Mr. Menoche had worked for many Lithograph Companies. He owned and operated ACM Graphic Arts for many years. He retired from King Philip Regional High School as a Graphic Arts Instructor. Mr. Menoche was a disabled Korean War Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the Woonsocket DAV and belonged to the Commander’s Club. He was a member of the Woonsocket Senior Center and Rosewood Pitch Leagues and the Memory Lane Bowling League at Walnut Hill Bowl and the St. Agatha’s Seniors. He also loved flower gardening and watching sports on TV. Mr. and Mrs. Menoche would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year on November 16.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons Albert C. “Buddy” Menoche Jr. of N. Kingstown, Thomas G. Menoche of Woonsocket, two daughters Kathleen A. Labonte and her husband Richard of N. Smithfield, and Jo-Ann M. Maurice of Woonsocket, four grandchildren Jennifer and Joseph Maurice, Michelle MacDonald and Melissa Menoche, and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Olivier Menoche and Theresa Lamontagne.
His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Burial with Military Honors will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4-8 pm.
