Obituary

Dracut, MA – Jeffrey D. “Jeff” Lannon, 57, retired Lawrence Police Officer died Thursday April 19, 2007 at the Brocton VA Hospital following a long battle with diabetes.
Born in Lawrence, Jeff was a 1968 graduate of Lawrence High School.

Jeffrey’s passion for the military was paramount while serving his country in the U.S. Army before being honorably discharged, and this undying interest continued long after his discharge.

For more than 30 years he served as a Patrol Officer with the Lawrence Police Department before his retirement.
According to Jeffrey’s family he loved Deep Sea Fishing, and shared this love with his father Daniel J. and had a general love for the sea. More importantly he enjoyed spending quality time with his family and grandson Jacey.
A resident of Dracut since 1984 survivors include his wife of 33 years; Claudette M. (Deschamps) Lannon, one daughter Shelley A. Lannon, and son Jeffrey Scott Lannon, and grandson Jacey Hebert all of Dracut, two brothers Daniel Lannon, Jr. of Haverhill, and Sean Lannon of Salem, NH.

He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jeff was predeceased by his parents Former Lawrence Det. Daniel J. Lannon and Phyllis (Lister) Lannon.
Throughout the years he has kept in touch with his best friend from the military; Joseph “Bubba” Abbate.
A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday morning at 10:30 A.M. in Our Lady of Good Counsel/ St. Augustines Chapel/ Ames Street of Lawrence.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
