MIRANDA, Charles G., Sr.- Of East Boston, formerly of Chelsea, April 19th. Devoted husband of the late Rose Marie (Watson). Beloved father of Robert Miranda and his wife Ruth of East Boston, Charles G. Miranda, Jr. and his wife Karen of Quincy, James M. Miranda and his companion Linda of Pembroke, Jean Feeley of Chelsea, Richard Miranda of Everett and the late John Miranda. Brother of James Miranda of N. Attleboro and Enrico Miranda of Everett. Cherished grandfather of Nicole, Steven, Janette, John Michael, Elizabeth, Paul, Melissa, Michelle and Brianna. Also lovingly survived by his great grandson, Sebastian, his step-grandchildren, Jennifer, Ruthi and Allen as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Monday morning, April 23rd at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in Our Lady of Grace Church, 59 Nichols Street, CHELSEA at 9 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Sunday from 3-7 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Late United States Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Born in Boston and growing up in East Boston where he attended school, Charles, at 77 years of age, passed away at the Changing Seasons Healthcare Center in Everett after courageous battle with alzheimers disease. During his working years he was employeed by General Stay in Lynn and by Novelty Bias here in Chelsea until retiring in 1995.
