Michael Gold, 92, a resident of San Diego, CA since 1983, & formerly of Chelsea and Brookline, died on April 17, 2007 in California. He was the husband of the late Ruth (Parker) Gold who died in 2000.
Born in Chelsea, Mr. Gold was raised in Chelsea, educated in the Chelsea Public Schools, and graduated from Chelsea High School in 1932. Upon graduation he went on to study engineering at Tufts University in Medford, MA earning his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. Mr. Gold was a retired engineer and president of the shoe division of Chelsea Industries. He also volunteered for the Jewish Vocational Service.
Mr. Gold is survived by his daughters, Eleanor Bluestein and her husband Harry of San Diego, CA and Susan Felber and her husband Allan of Highland Park, ILL; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth and her husband David, Dan, and Ali.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 20, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Torf Funeral Chapel, 151 Washington Ave. (Cary Sq) CHELSEA. Burial will follow in Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon.
