Lochmere-Inge Hilde (Exner) Blair, 61, of 49 Silver Lake Road died Tuesday morning, April 17th, 2007 at Franklin Regional Hospital after a sudden illness.
Inge was born in Grossrohrsdorf, East Germany, on March 16, 1946, the daughter of the late Willi Felix Otto and Erna Hilda (Dittrich) Exner. She has been a resident of Lochmere for the past 15 years coming from Maine.
Inge was a home care provider for several area families which she did with honor and pride. She was a great cook and it was her mission to keep everybody fed. She had a true green thumb as she enjoyed gardening and growing plants. Animals and their companionship meant a lot to her. As an avid “yardsaler”, Inge was collector of collectibles. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion Post 176 in Eagle Lake, Maine.
Inge is predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Sidney R. Blair who died this past January of 2007; one grandson, Michael Gonzalez in 1999; and a brother Gerhart Exner.
Inge is survived by two sons, Robert R. Blair and his wife Gaetane of Newport, Maine, and Mark Blair of Lochmere; two daughters, Brigitte Carpenter and her husband Jeff of Meredith, and Linda A. Gonzalez and her husband Luis of Calais, Maine; two sisters, Charlotte Loder and Waltraut Exner both of Germany. Inge is also survived by five grandchildren, Jeff A. Carpenter, III, Blair A. Carpenter, Abby Lin Pelletier, Garret R. Blair, and Luis Gonzalez, III.
Services were held Thursday, April 26th, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery Chapel, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Rte 3, Boscawen, NH. Rev. Michael C. Graham, pastor of Gilford Community Church officiated. There were no visiting hours.
