Rosann J. (McLaughlin) Stevens, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, died on Sunday April 15, 2007, at Royal Nursing Center in Falmouth following a lengthy illness. She was 96 years old.
Rosann was born in Everett on March 1, 1911. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1929. Rosann was a homemaker most of her life taking care of her family. She was a member of Daughters of Isabella #1 and The Old Charlestown Schoolgirls Association.
Rosann is the beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Stevens. She is the devoted mother of Joseph "Buddy" Stevens and his wife Carol of Everett and Rosann Brodie and her husband George of East Falmouth. She is the loving grandmother of Brian Brodie and his wife Kerri of East Falmouth, Jessica Brodie of Charlestown and her great-grandchildren, Evan and Cate Brodie. She is the beloved sister of John McLaughlin and his wife Ellen of Medford and the late Francis and Hugh McLaughlin.
Rosann's Funeral will be held on Thursday April 19, 2007, at 10 a.m. from the Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St., Charlestown, followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St., Charlestown, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Rosann will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2007, from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
