HUBBARDSTON: Daniel C. Lemerise, Sr., 73, of 4 Pitcherville Rd.,
Hubbardston died Monday, April 16 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after
an illness.
He leaves his wife of 37 years Sylvia B. (Kresco) Lemerise, two sons Scott
Lemerise of N.Grafton and Daniel M. Lemerise, Jr. of Worcester, a daughter
Sandra Lemerise of Worcester, a brother Richard Kempinski of Charlton, two
sisters Marilyn Mazurka of Sturbridge and Carol Lee of Niceville, Fl., two
grand daughters, nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lemerise was a Captain in the Comm. of Mass. Environmental Police where
he worked for 31 years, retiring in 1998. He served in the U.S. AirForce
during the Korean War.
He graduated from Leicester High School and was a member of Holy Spirit
Church in Gardner, and the Royalston Rod & Gun Club. He was a former
Leicester Policeman and part time Hubbardston Patrolman. He was an avid
card player, hunter and longtime Red Sox Fan.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of Daniel O. and Dorothy (Best) Lemerise
and lived here since 1972.
The funeral will be held Thursday, April 19 from the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL
HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church,
1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial with Military Honors will follow in
Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours will be held from 4 to
7p.m. on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either
the Hubbardston Police Dept., P.O.Box G, 7 Main St., Hubbardston or
Hubbardston Fire & Rescue, P.O. Box 552, Hubbardston, Ma. 01452.
