Obituary

Nicholas W. Cipoletta Jr. 84 of Medway died April 15 in Emerson Hospital in Concord. He was the husband of Florence (Crichton) Cipoletta.
Born in East Boston, January 25, 1923, the son of the late Nicholas and Mary (Saia) Cipoletta, Mr. Cipoletta was raised in East Boston and had lived in Medway since 1962. He was a graduate of Wentworth Institute in Boston.
Mr. Cipoletta had been a tool and gauge maker at the A. A. Crafts Company in Boston before retiring.
Following his retirement, he attended Framingham State College and received his degree in teaching.
Mr. Cipoletta then became a shop teacher at Blackstone Vocational Technical High School.
Mr.Cipoletta served in Navy during World War II.
He was past commander of the Medway VFW Post and a member of the Medway American Legion. He had been active in the St. Joseph’s CYO band and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing and watching sports.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Charles D. Cipoletta and his wife, Debbie Chase of Framingham, his daughters, Patricia A. Cipoletta of Maynard and Susan A. Barnes and her husband, Gerard of Hawley, PA.
He was the father of the late Michael S. Cipoletta.
He was the brother of the late Salvatore Cipoletta, Ursula Rodman and Grace Reding.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nicholas, Jessica and Meggan.
His funeral will be held on Friday, April 20 from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com.) 3 Barber St. in Medway at 9:15 followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Village Street in Medway at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 4-8p.m.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association 311 Arsenal St. Watertown, MA 02472.
