Mary A. (Walsh) Williams a lifelong resident of Charlestown died on Saturday April 14, 2007 at Wingate of Andover Nursing Home in Andover following a lengthy illness. She was 94 years old.
Mary was born in Boston on December 8, 1912. She grew up in Charlestown and attended Charlestown schools . Mary was a homemaker taking care of her family while working in several retail stores in the area. She also worked for Ris Paper Company from 1979 thru 1989.
Mary is the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Williams. She is the devoted mother of Mary A. Flaherty and her husband Bob and Margaret M. Lee and her husband Bob all of Andover. She is the loving grandmother of Robert, Richard, Gregory, Michael, Christopher and Mark and also 12 great-grandchildren. She is the beloved sister of Sr. Mary Leontine C.S.J. of Bethany, Framingham, the late Helen McGonagle, Catherine McCue, Thomas, James and John Walsh. She is the beloved sister-in-law of Mae Walsh of Charlestown.
Mary's Funeral will be held on Wednesday April 18, 2007 at 9 a.m. from the Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours for Mary will be held on Tuesday April 17, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
