Ruby Esta Watrous, of Lambtown Road, Ledyard died Friday, April 13, 2007 at home. She was born in Ledyard February 29, 1920, the daughter of Zephaniah, AKA Zephie, and Eva (Chapman) Watrous.
She was educated in Ledyard and had lived there all her life. She didn’t live an ostentatious life but her ready smile was a bright spot in the lives of her many friends.
She loved nature and the out-of-doors and had walked many miles with the Ledyard Walkers group almost since its inception. She was a charter member of the Norwich Alliance Church and had served on several committees and taught Sunday School for many years.
She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister.
Relatives and friends may call at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Wednesday from 10-10:45am. A Memorial Service will be conducted at Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Norwich at 2pm Wednesday.
Burial in Quakertown Cemetery will be private.
