WORCESTER-Dorothy (Brennan) Weir, 95 of 1183 Main Street died Saturday, November 9th in the Washburn House. Her first husband, Dr. John W. Carter and her second husband, Fred G. Weir predeceased her. She leaves a daughter, Diana Ekberg of West Boylston, 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was born in Leominster the daughter of Stanley C. and Beatrice L. (Flagg) Brennan and has lived in Worcester for many years. Mrs. Weir was a self-employed dressmaker for 40 years before retiring. She was a member of the United Congregational Church and was a former member of the Social Central Fellowship Club and the Worcester Women’s Club.
The funeral will be Tuesday, November 12th at 10:00 AM in O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Washburn House, 1183 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01603 or to a charity of one’s choice.
