Bridgewater- Peter M. Mazzoleni, 75, of Bridgewater died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of Leona (Wilber) Mazzoleni.
Born July 10, 1931, in Bridgewater, he was the son of the late Paul and Mary (Tassinari) Mazzoleni.
He was a lifelong resident of Bridgewater and a graduate of Bridgewater Academy, Class of 1949.
For 50 years, Mr. Mazzoleni was a brick layer and construction worker for Local #3 Brick Layers Union in Quincy, retiring in 1995.
He served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was past president of the Bridgewater Vets Club.
Mr. Mazzoleni held a pilot’s license and was a past president of the Brockton Flying Club.
He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Bridgewater.
Mr. Mazzoleni enjoyed flying and his Navy reunions.
He was the husband of Leona (Wilber); father of Mary Jane Bevis of Marietta, GA, Michael P. Mazzoleni of Raynham and Robert L. Mazzoleni of Bridgewater; brother of Pauline Dumas of Bridgewater; grandfather of Melissa Bevis and Neal, Leah, Kara and Harrison Mazzoleni. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral will be held from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Monday at 8:15 am. Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Bridgewater, at 9 am. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 pm. Burial will be in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery.
