Carole L. (Grant) White, 50, of Norton died unexpectedly on Thursday April 12, 2007 at the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro after being stricken ill at home. She was the beloved wife of Richard J. White to whom she was wed to on June 2, 1984.
Born in Somerville, MA on December 21, 1956 she was a loving daughter of Barbara A.(Morris) Grant of San Jose, California and the late Paul L. Grant.
She grew up in Arlington and was a 1976 graduate of Arlington High School. She had attended Middlesex Community College and was a 1981 graduate of Northeastern University. Mrs. White was an Intake Coordinator having worked for the past 15 years for The VNA, Inc. in Needham. The VNA that she worked for was originally located in Dedham.
Carole attended St. Mary’s Church in Norton and was a former longtime communicant of St. Agnes Church in Arlington. While in high school she was a member of The St. Agnes Church Marching Band. Since living in Norton she was active in the Boosters Club at Norton High School and had coached for the Norton Youth Soccer Association.
She enjoyed the wonderful times spent with her family and especially with helping her daughters with her favorite sport of soccer. Carole had made her home in Norton for the past 12 years and was formerly of Arlington for most of her life.
In addition to her beloved husband of over 22 years and her loving mother she is survived by her devoted daughters Lauren E. White and Lindsay M. White both of Norton. Her 3 sisters Paula M. Grant and her husband James Keith of San Jose, California, Marybeth Grant of Arlington and Louise A. Azevedo and her husband Steven of San Jose, California. Her mother in law Barbara M. White of Sharon. Her brother in law Martin J. White and his wife Doris of Canton. Also surviving are her many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Wednesday April 18th at 10:30 A.M. from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 11:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, South Worcester St., Norton. Burial will follow in the Timothy Plain Cemetery, Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday April 17th from 6-9 P.M. at the funeral home.
