Obituary

So. Lawrence, Ma. – Ida L. (Demers) Routhier, 83, died Tuesday April 10, 2007 at Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.

Born in Lawrence Ida received her education at PMA in Hudson, NH.
Before her retirement in 1985 she had been employed as an Assembler with Gould/Modicon of Andover.
Before the closing of Sacred Heart Church Mrs. Routhier along with her deceased husband Joseph had been active communicants.
She had also been a member of the Third Order of Mary at Sacred Heart and a member of the former Ladies of St. Anne.
Ida attended St. Augustine Parish of Andover.

According to Ida’s family she was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and Greatgrandmother who enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She was known to be a woman of wisdom who enjoyed reading, and other hobbies.
She was the widow of Joseph D. Routhier.
A lifelong resident of So. Lawrence Mrs. Routhier is survived by a son Gerard Routhier of So. Lawrence, daughters; Jacqueline Calobrisi of Salisbury, Pauline Traficante & husband Daniel of Methuen, Aline Valcourt & husband Ron of Bradford, Christine Burke & husband Thomas of Andover, and Francine Menendez-Aponte & husband Tony of Leominster 10 grandchildren, 4 greatgrandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs Routhier was predeceased by her son Paul Routhier, son-in-law John Calobrisi, her sister Theresa Dion, & brothers Leo, Edmund & Alfred Demers.

A funeral mass will take place on Saturday morning at 10 o’clock in St. Augustine’s Church of Andover with interment to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street of Methuen.
