Patricia Ann "Patti" (Gioiosa) Gravallese, age 75, died on April 8, 2007 at her McLean, VA residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Boston on March 15, 1932, a daughter of the late Hugo and Evelyn Gioiosa,and had been a resident of Medford and Stoneham prior to moving to Virginia.
Patti worked as a successful travel consultant throughout her career. She will be remembered by her family and friends as an avid Redskins fan, extraordinary cook and for her witty intellect. To know our beloved mother, Nana, and friend Pat, is to be filled with unconditional warmth, love and optimism.
Survivors include four children of Burt Gravallese of Alexandria, VA, Julie Gravallese of Vienna, VA, Marc Gravallese of Great Falls Chase, VA, and Carla M.G. Martinese of Potomac Falls, VA; eight grandchildren, Chad, Darin, Aaron, Jessica, Tara Marie, Sophia, Brandon, and Eva Marie; her former husband Albert J. Gravallese of Leesburg, VA. Her funeral will be held from the Costello Funeral Home, 177 Washington St. Winchester on Monday April16, at 8AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church, High St. Medford at 9AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2-6 PM. Interment Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
