Kevin A. Branco of Stoughton passed away on Saturday April 7, 2007 at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton. He was twenty-four years old. He was the cherished son of Jose F. and Maria C. (Almeida) Branco of Stoughton.
Born February 28, 1983 in Providence, Rhode Island, he attended Stoughton Public Schools and was a member of Stoughton High Schools graduating “ Class Of 2001.”
Mr. Branco was gainfully employed by the G. Greene Construction Company and was a proud member of The Laborer’s Union, Local # 721 in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. He was also a communicant and attended the Immaculate Conception Church in Stoughton where he was an active participant in the churches “Life Teen” Program for several years.
He enjoyed music, dancing and sports of all kinds which included hockey, football and soccer. He was member of both the NEHL “UNDERDOGS” hockey team and the semi- professional football team “THE OUTLAWS” in Plymouth.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother Jose M. Branco of Stoughton, his sister Jennifer A. and her husband Kevin McCaffrey of Stoughton, his fiancee’ Cecilia Iglesias of Stoughton, his maternal grandfather Sylvester Cordeiro, his two nieces Victoria L. McCaffrey and Brianna L. McCaffrey, his nephew Steven F. McCaffrey all of Stoughton, several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gilherme Branco and Rosa Ries Branco and his maternal grandmother Maria Daponta Almeida. Kevin was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday April 11, 2007 at 10:30 A.M. from the Sheehan Funeral Home, 115 Monk Street, Stoughton, followed by a Mass Of Christian Burial for the repose of his soul at 12:00 NOON in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton Street, Rt. 27 Stoughton. Father Brian Smith (Saint Edith Stein Parish, Brockton), officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of one’s choice in Kevin’s memory, would be appreciated.
