Auburn – Robert D. Davis, 70, of Auburn died on Monday April 9, in the Umass Memorial Medical Center – Memorial Campus after a short illness.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife of 50 years Ruth A. (Johnson) Davis of Auburn; four daughters Michelle A. Santora and her husband Gary of Auburn, Cheryl A. Morang and her husband Neal of Rochdale, Deborah A. Morang and her husband Michael of Auburn and Sharon A. Eldridge and her husband Mark of Auburn and 5 grandchildren. He was born in Worcester son of Herbert M. and Blanche M. (St. John) Davis and graduated from Worcester Boy’s Trade.
Mr. Davis worked 31 years for the Hostess–Wonder Co. as a Routeman and Truck Driver before retiring in 1997. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Church and the Auburn Sportsman’s Club. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
The funeral will be held on Friday April 13, from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester with a mass at 10 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church 1222 Main St. Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours are on Thursday April 12, from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
