Julia Lee Aultman Denham, 85, of Tifton, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at Tift Health Care. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2007, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Larry Layfield will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Ms. Denham was born on October 23, 1921 in Worth County and was the daughter of Hiram Aultman and Susan Davis Aultman, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Denham, who died November 19, 2001; two brothers; and two sisters. She was a homemaker and a member of New River Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and volunteered as a Pink Lady for several years. She was a lifetime resident of Tifton and enjoyed fishing.
Ms. Denham is survived by five sons and daughters-in-law, Lynwood and JoAnne Denham of Tifton, Earl and Teddie Denham of Tifton, Mike and Carol Denham of Americus, Lee and Gerrie Denham of Tifton and Neil and Deloria Ann Denham of Sylvester; three daughters and one son-in-law, Sue Patton of Tifton, Betty and Norm Whisler of Gainesville, and Merle Barge of Tifton; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
