Louise Hatfield (Saviski), age 63 of Duxbury died suddenly on April 8, 2007 while visiting with her family in West Simsbury, Connecticut.
Mrs. Hatfield was an employee of the Town of Duxbury, serving as an Office Manager in the town’s Water Department for the past six years. In an earlier assignment with the town, she served as an Administrative Assistant in the Health Department. She was active as a volunteer on several town committees including a data processing steering group in the 1980’s. Before joining the staff at the Town Offices, she was a Supervisor in the data processing department of the Bay State Gas Company for more than 25 years before the company was acquired by NiSource Inc. Louise and her husband were very active in all of the activities of the Kingston Lions Club. She was an active member of the Holy Family Parish in Duxbury.
Born in Brockton Massachusetts in 1943 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Cora Saviski of Brockton. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas A. Hatfield who died in August of 2006. She is survived by a sister Sophie Saviski of Brockton, a sister and brother in law, Susan H. and John J. Dwyer of West Simsbury, Connecticut and Duxbury, a nephew Timothy J. Dwyer and his wife Ivana of Avon Connecticut and a niece, Susan Kara
Fitzgibbon and her husband John of Weston Massachusetts and three grand nieces, and one grand nephew. Additionally her extended family includes numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends and relatives may call at the Richard Davis Funeral Home at 373 Court Street in North Plymouth on Thursday, April 12, between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM prior to a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Family Church at 601 Tremont Street in Duxbury at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at the Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Hatfield’s memory to the Holy Family Church or the Kingston Lions Club.
