WEST WARWICK, R.I._____Harold T. “Harry” Roslund, Jr, 53, of West Warwick and formerly of Worcester, Ma, died unexpectedly at home on Sunday April 8, 2007 with his dog "Tyson" by his side.
He leaves three daughters, Valerie Roslund and Christa Roslund both of West Warwick and Amy Desaulniers of Worcester; two brothers, James Roslund and Jeffrey Roslund both of Worcester a sister, Linda J. Strader of Oxford; his grandmother, Sophie (Janiszewski) Roslund of Worcester and nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was born and raised in Worcester, a son of the late Harold T. Roslund, Sr, and Marie A. (Korsak) Roslund. He was also predeceased by a brother, Michael J. Roslund and by his former wife, Sharon (Domian) Roslund.
Mr. Roslund was most recently a carpenter for Staruk, Inc., of Worcester where he worked for several years. He had also been a store manager for Grossman’s Lumber in West Warwick, Groton, Ct, and North Attleboro, Ma. He graduated from Providence Street Junior High School in 1969 and North High School in 1972. Harry has spent the last year restoring his 1974 Cuda which is 95% complete. He planned on having it finished in time for this year’s Summer Nationals in Worcester. He also enjoyed playing golf, woodworking, helping others and cooking Sunday dinners for his family and friends.
The funeral will be held on Friday April 13 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Worcester with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Thursday April 12 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
