LOWELL – Mildred M. (Langley) Gerlach, 84, of Dracut, died Monday April 9th at Radius Northwood Healthcare Center in Lowell. She was the wife of Walter W. Gerlach.
Born in Westford on July 17, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (Comeau) Langley. She was educated in Tyngsboro schools. She worked for Abbott Worsted Mill in Westford and later worked as a supervisor at Raytheon in Lowell until her retirement.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Carolyn A. Oliver of Dracut, a son William W. Gerlach and his wife Jennifer of Ayer, MA, three sisters Claire LaForge of Dracut, Ruth Godreau of Exeter, NH, and Elizabeth Gardner of Lakeland, FL, six grandchildren John Oliver, Allison Smith, Susan Fenlon, George Dancause Jr, Janet Dancause, and William Gerlach Jr, and six great grandchildren Alysha Smith, Jacob Smith, Sean Fenlon, Emma Rae Fenlon, Kyle Oliver, and Claire Oliver. Mrs. Gerlach is predeceased by a daughter Paula Dancause.
Friends may call at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Thursday from 4 until 8 PM. Her funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Friday at 9 AM, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 AM at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Dracut. Burial will follow in Tyngsboro Memorial Cemetery. Donations may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
