LAWRENCE S. LeCOURS

Lawrence S. LeCours, age 77, died suddenly, April 5, 2007 at Brockton Hospital in Brockton, Massachusetts after being stricken at his home. Mr. LeCours has been a resident of East Bridgewater for 14 years. Prior to moving to east Bridgewater, he was a residednt of Quincy for over 40 years. Born in Boston, he attended Boston Public Schools and Don Bosco High School. During his working life, Mr. LeCours was employed by Allied Container Co. in Dedham for 14 years, but left to pursue his true calling as an entertainer. He was affiliated with several musical groups during his life as well as the Curtain Call Theater and he enjoyed performing during Halloween season at Barrett's Haunted Mansion in Abington. His musical abilities included the bass and drums. A veteran of the Korean war, he served in the United States Marine Corps including service with the Marine Corps Band. He was a member of the V.F. W.
Larry is survived by his wife Claire J. (Hanson) LeCours, his children; Belinda Sawyer, Lawrence S. "Punksie" LeCours III, and Claire J. Watts all of East Bridgewater, his Grandchildren; Jonathan, Christopher, Melissa, April and Rachel and his Great Grandson; Dennis, Jr. He is also survived by his sister Yvonne Davis of Holbrook, and his brothers; Tony Stabile and Leonard LeCours both of Connecticut. He was the brother of the late James LeCours.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday Apr. 10, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at the O'Donnell & Mulry Funeral Home, 138 Neponset Ave., Dorchester, MA. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting Hours are Monday 5 - 8 P.M.. Interment will take place with military honors at Knollwood Memorial Park, High St., Canton, MA. Donations in Larry's memory may be made to MADD, 18 Tremont St..
