Lynn: Carlos Walter Gustave Meier age 52 of Lynn, died unexpectedly Wednesday April 4, 2007 at the Lahey Northshore in Peabody. He was the husband of Jaccqueline (Boucher) Meier.
Born and raised in Zurich, Switzerland, he was the son of Margaret (VonOstheim) Meier of Switzerland and the late Walter Meier. As a young boy he and his family lived abroad and traveled extensively. He received his Bachelors Degree in Business and Masters Degree in Finance in Zurich and served in special services in the Swiss Army. In the late 1980’s he moved to New York and was employed by Citibank in Manhattan. During these years in New York he dabbled in farming in upstate New York. Carlos traveled around the world for Citibank and was fluent in 8 languages.
Last year he joined Sovereign Bank in Lynn. Carlos was an out-going man who loved being with people.
In addition to his wife Jackie, he is survived by his mother Margaret of Switzerland, 3 sons: Tobias C. Meier of Amsterdam, NY, Phillipp Meier of Switzerland & Raymond Hairston of Lynn, 2 daughters: Stacey Hairston & Cassandra Felice both of Lynn, a brother Felix Meier of Switzerland, a sister Regula Flachskampf of Germany, 5 grandchildren: Denyse, Gianna & Kyle Hairston, Isaac Maldonado and Isabella Marcelino.
Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service on Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at 10 am in the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem. Visiting hours: Tuesday 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. Burial will be in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
