Westport - James J. Walsh, 89, of Westport passed away Friday, April 6, 2007 at home. He was the husband of Mary G. (Roach) Walsh.
Born in New Bedford, a son of the late William and Mary Ellen (Ravenscroft) Walsh, he was a lifelong resident of Westport. A United States Army veteran he served in Europe during WWII. Mr. Walsh graduated from Northeastern University in Boston and Bentley School of Accounting in Boston. Prior to his retirement in 1994, he was a comptroller for New England Brass of Taunton. He was a Communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport. He was a former member of the Westport Library Trustees and the Westport School Committee.
Including his wife of 60 years, he is survived by a son: James J. Walsh, Jr. of Westport; a granddaughter: Hannah L. Walsh; and several nieces and nephews.
He was a brother of the late William Walsh, Jr. and Mary Eileen Walsh.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, April 10, 2007 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Grace Church, Westport at 10:00 A.M.

Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
