DRACUT-Rita G. (Ferron) McCarthy, 85, a longtime resident of Dracut, died
Tuesday, April 3rd at D'Youville Senior Care Center. She was the beloved
wife of the late Francis McCarthy. She was born on June 8, 1921 in Dracut.
She was a daughter of the late Neree and the late Roseann (Gignac) Ferron.
Mrs. McCarthy was employed by Lowell Lingerie where she worked as a folder
for many years. She was a member of the PTA at Ste. Therese's Church in
Dracut and a member of the International Ladies Garmet Association (ILGA).
In her free time she enjoyed playing cards, attending bingo, and spending
time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. McCarthy is survived by three sons, Kevin H. McCarthy and his wife
Christina of Dracut, Michael F. McCarthy and his wife Wendy of Dracut and
Raymond R. McCarthy and his wife Pamela of Dracut; her daughter, Annrose D.
Thompson and her husband Dennis of Dracut; her brother, Raymond Ferron of
Dracut; six grandchildren, Shanna Rose Thompson Marice, Dustin Thompson,
Matthew McCarthy, Michael McCarthy, Jillian McCarthy, and Michaela McCarthy;
many nephews and nieces.
She is also the sister of the late George Ferron, the late Leo Ferron, the
late Arthur Ferron, the late John Ferron, the late Irene (Ferron) Sims, and
the late Mary (Ferron) Dupris.
Her generousity and loving nature will be greatly missed by everyone.

FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT, on Wednesday from 4 until 8pm.
Her funeral will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 9am followed by
her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10am in St. Mary Magdalen Church in
Dracut . Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers,
memorial contributions may be made in her name to Elder Services of the
Merrimack Valley, Inc., Development Office, 360 Merrimack Street, Bldg. 5,
