Obituary

Edward J. Sullivan, a lifelong Newton resident, died Wed April 4, 2007 at Epoch Senior Healthcare of Weston. He was 93.
A graduate of Newton High School, Mr. Sullivan served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during WW II and was discharged as a Sergeant. He worked as a lab technician for Stowe-Woodward Co for over 35 years and later worked as a custodian for the Newton Public Schools.
Husband of the late Ellen (Sullivan) Sullivan he is survived by his children Edward J. Sullivan Jr. of Medfield, Mary Ellen Sullivan of Newton Upper Falls, Susan Sullivan Hills of Sandy Hook CT, Dennis L. Sullivan of Mansfield, Michael S. Sullivan of Dedham and Eileen Sullivan Ferrick of Holliston, 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late John Sullivan and Gerard Sullivan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tues. April 10 at 10:30 AM in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, Newton Upper Falls. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Interment with Military Honors will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Needham. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Mon 4-8 PM.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New England Handicapped Sports Assoc. (NEHSA) Rte 103, P.O. Box 2135, Mt. Sunapee, NH 03255-2135.
