Louise M. (Palmer) Call, 68, of Hernando, Florida formerly of Mansfield died on Tuesday April 3, 2007 surrounded by her loving family at home. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence J. “Larry” Call to whom she was wed to on November 3, 1957.
Born in Boston, MA on March 5, 1939 she was a daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Condry) Palmer.
She grew up in Boston and was educated in Boston schools. Mrs. Call had been employed as a cashier at the former Superplace Market formerly Fernandes Supermarket in Mansfield for over 20 years before retiring.
While a Mansfield resident she was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church. Louise enjoyed playing golf, swimming, sewing, knitting and crocheting. She especially enjoyed crafts and making children’s clothing. A resident of Florida for the past 7 years she had previously made her home in Mansfield for over 20 years.
Besides her beloved husband of over 49 years she is survived by her devoted children Michael L. Call and his wife Susan of Mansfield, Kathleen LoDico and her husband Paul of Mansfield, James M. Call and his wife Shirlene of Wellborn, Florida, Kenneth W. Call and his wife Theresa of North Easton and Elizabeth R. Lynch and her husband Steve of Mansfield. She was the sister of Harry Palmer of Taunton, Denise Augar of Beverly Hills, Florida, Betty Ann Dunphy of Plymouth, Judith Cronin of Duxbury, Michael Palmer of Milton, Kevin Palmer of Salt Lake City, Utah, Deborah Saco of Cumberland, R.I., Joseph Palmer of Boston and the late Beverly Ciardi, Edward Palmer and Brian Palmer. Also surviving are her cherished 10 grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday April 10th at 8:00 A.M. from the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home 55 North Main St. Mansfield followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday April 9th from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Louise’s family has requested that donations in her memory be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Massachusetts Chapter 311 Arsenal Street Watertown, MA 02472.
