Rosalie (Chiappisi) Conte died peacefully April 2, 2007 with loving family and friends by her side. Born in Boston, MA to Mary Frasca Chiappisi and Phillip Chiappisi who pre deceased her in death along her brother Arthur Chiappisi, sister-in-law Mavis Chiappisi and brother–in-law Joseph Conte all of Needham, MA. A longtime resident of Needham, she graduated from Needham High School in 1946 and married the love of her life Ralph Conte, on April 24, 1949. Ralph died in 1995. Besides family and homemaking she enjoyed baseball, especially the Red Sox, exercising, music and visiting and sharing an afternoon cup of tea.
She is survived by two daughters Carol Conte of MA and Claudia Conte of NC, sons-in-law Larry Franklin and David O’Malley, and her beloved and devoted granddaughter Meghan O’Malley of Washington DC. She is also survived by her brother A. Phillip Chiappisi, brothers-in-law Joseph Mucci and Emil Conte, sisters-in-law Nancy Mucci, Yole Conte and Barbara Chiappisi as well as nieces and grandnieces.
The family thanks friends and the staff of Outlook Pointe, Rex Hospital and Mayview Rehab Center for their loving care.
Relatives and friends will gather at the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. Needham on Thurs April 5 at 8:30 AM and proceed to a Blessing in St. Joseph Church at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery Needham. Visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Wed 4-7 PM.
