Obituary

Albert Bushnell Hart III, 73, of 8 Main Street, Noank, died early Wednesday morning at his home.

Mr. Hart was born in Norwalk, OH on September 14, 1929 the son of Adrian Putnam Hart and Theresa May Palmer Hart. After receiving his education, he served in the US Navy and the Army Air Corps. He also served in the Merchant Marine and the Coast Guard Reserves.

A longtime resident of the area, he was employed as a machinest at Electric Boat for 23 years before his retirement in 1995. He had previously been employed at Davis Standard.

He was an avid boater and fisherman and enjoyed mechanical tinkering.

He was married to Joan A. Boisvert Hart at the Westover Chapel in Chicopee, MA on October 15, 1949.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hart is survived by three children, Bruce M. Hart of Ledyard, Eric P. Hart of Montville, and Joan Dyer of Orlando, FL; a brother, Adrian P. Hart Jr. of Canterbury, CT, 4 grandchidlren, Allyson, Zachary, Jefferey, and Sharon.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Friday evening from 6-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church on Saturday at 10am.

Burial services will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, old Mystic. Donations may be made to Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut.
