Kelly L. Houtman, 41, of New Bedford died March 30, 2007 unexpectedly at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the beloved daughter of Genevieve (Ramos) Houtman of New Bedford and the late Russell W. "Smite" Houtman, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
Kelly was employed by Harborside Nursing Home in Falmouth.
She is survived by the "joy" of her life, her daughter, Autumn Louise Simonds, who has been blessed with many of Kelly's fine traits and compassion; her companion, Eugene Simonds; Kelly will be lovingly missed by her devoted brother Russell W. Houtman, Jr. and his daughter Shelbie; her grandmother, Louise Ramos, and her companion John Correia; her lifetime friend, Sherri Watkins; many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and most especially her Harborside family in Falmouth. Kelly's bright smile and warmth brought joy to everyone who met her and her charisma was second to none. We'll be loving you always Kelly.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Wednesday, April 4th at 8 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday, April 3rd from 4-8 PM.
