Charles A.” Whitey” Lindquist,70,died Sunday April 1st at his home in Myrtle Beach, SC. ,surrounded by his family.
Born May 16,1936 in Brockton, a., he was the so of the late Everett and Albina (Ykenta) Lindquist.
“Whitey” came to Myrtle Beach from Plymouth, MA., in 2002 and was a communicant of St. Andrew Catholic Church. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired over the road owner/operator and locally, worked for Horry County Environmental Services.
In addition to his wife Anne, he is survived by four sons, Michael and Mark Lindquist of Kingston ,Paul Lindquist of Plymouth, Peter Lindquist of Chapin, SC., his daughter Moira Bartlett of Kingston, his brother Phillip Lindquist of Hanson, his sisters Betty Garman of Pekin, Il., Avis Greenwood of Newcastle, ME.; 6 grandchildren ,Andrew, Joshua, Ryan, Nicholas, Nicole and Ashley: many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass was held Wednesday April 4th in Myrtle Beach, SC. .
Local graveside services will be held Saturday April 7th at 10:00 A.M. in the Holy Family Cemetery in Rockland ,MA. Visiting hours Friday April 6th 5-8 .in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Route 58 at the Rotary Circle) Whitman, MA.
