Mrs. Marie A. DeLena, age 84 of Medford formerly of Malden, died March 31st following a lengthy illness. Born in Salem, MA she was the daughter of the late Mihran Altoonian and Esther (Minasian) and Arthur Moroski.
Mostly devoted to her family, Marie was active for a number of years with the Ladies Auxilary VFW of Medford and Everett.
She is survived by her children, Charlene Callahan and her husband James of Chelsea, Louis M. DeLena and his wife Donna of Malden. She is also survived by her brothers, Armen Altoonian of CT and Lucas Altoonian of CA. She is further survived by her uncle Richard Minasian of FL and cousins Mel Menasian of Methuen, Frank and Bill Menasian both of Dracut.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Wednesday at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Holy Trinity Armenian Church, 145 Brattle St., Cambridge, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Marie’s memory to the Holy Trinity Armenian Church, 145 Brattle St. Cambridge, MA 02141.
