DANVERS - Albin A. Dylingowski, 91, husband of Helen (Spilski) Dylingowski, of Danvers, died Saturday, March 31, 2007 at his home.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late John & Josephine (Szopka) Dylingowski and was a resident of Salem until moving to Danvers in 1960.
A veteran of WWII, he served in the Army and attained the rank of Technician 5th Class.
Mr. Dylingowski was employed at New England Telephone & Telegraph in Lynn from 1960 until his retirement in 1980. He previously worked at Helburn & Thomson Company in Salem for many years, both before and after WWII.
An avid golfer, he was a member of the Tenth Hole Golf Club, and informal group of golfers from the Salem area. He was a lifelong parishioner of the St. John The Baptist Church, Salem.
Besides his wife, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage, he is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Ronald & Mary Dylingowski of Amesbury, one daughter & son-in-law, Linda & John Zumbro of Hermitage, TN, 2 grandchildren, Michael Dylingowski of W. Newton, Steven Dylingowski of Northfield, NH and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Robert Dylingowski, John J.. Dylingowski and Alphonse R. Dylingowski.
His funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2007 at 9 am from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 am at the St. John The Baptist Church, Salem. Visiting Hours Tuesday, 4 to 7 pm. Burial is in St. Mary Cemetery, Salem. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
