Salem: Blanche L. Demeule age 84 of Salem, died at the NSMC / Salem Hospital on Sunday, April 1, 2007 following a brief illness.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Azarias and Zelia (Lemelin) Demeule. Blanche was a lifelong resident of Salem and devoted much of her time at home caring for her parents in their later years. A religious woman, she was a devoted member of Ste. Anne Parish and of the former St. Joseph Parish of Salem.
Blanche is survived by her brother Albert J. Demeule of Salem and 12 nieces and nephews: Pierre, Joseph, Louis & Rachelle Contois, Theresa Lane, Marie Cyr, Claire Zimmerman, Celeste Divincenzo, Monique McLean, Paul, Jean & Michael Demeule. She was predeceased by her sister Cecile Contois and her sister-in-law Lina (Michaud) Demeule.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 8 am from the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem, followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave., Salem at 9 am. Visiting hours: Monday 4 to 8 pm. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem.
