Obituary

WILMINGTON: Jean E. Morrison, age 79, a resident of Wilmington for two years, died Friday, March 30, 2007 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Born in Cambridge on October 8, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Gertrude (Hill) Morrison.
Ms. Morrison was raised in Cambridge, attended Cambridge schools and graduated from Cambridge High & Latin School in 1945.
She resided in Cambridge and Chelmsford until moving to Wilmington in 2005.
Prior to her retirement in 1993, she was employed for 31 years as an administrative assistant for the Francis Bitter National Magnet Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge.
According to her family, she enjoyed following the Boston Red Sox and annually attended the opening day game at Fenway Park. In addition, she enjoyed traveling and attending the sporting events of her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Ms. Morrison is survived by two sisters, Christina Cabral of Tewksbury and Margaret D’Orsi of Medford; two sisters-in-law, Peg Morrison of Watertown and Maria Morrison of Hudson; she was the devoted aunt and godmother of Judi Ciampa of Wilmington and Brian Morrison of Watertown; additional nieces and nephews include; Bruce Cabral, Kathi and Jack Morrison, Jean and Peter D’Orsi, Lisa Fournier, Laura Watkins, Alan, Ron and John Morrison; many grandnieces and grandnephews; and her special friends, Marjorie O’Brien and Larry Rubin.
She was the sister of the late Mary Thompson, John and Charles Morrison.
Calling hours Tuesday, April 3rd, from 5-8 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral service Wednesday, April 4th, at 11 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty St., Danvers, MA 01923 are requested.
