Worcester—Harold L. Sundell, Jr., 86, died Saturday, March 31, 2007, in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Geraldine “Geri” Robinson Sundell. He was born in Ridgway, PA on July 14, 1920. He graduated from Ridgway High School and served in the Army Air Corps for 3 years during World War II as Staff Sergeant. After the war, Harold and Geri settled in New England. He was a Service Rep. for Chrysler Corporation in Maine and went on to work as a District Manager for the Worcester Gas Co. He graduated from WPI School of Management and was a resident of Worcester for 45 years. Harold enjoyed playing music at home on his organ, country music, square dancing, visits to Geneva Point on Lake Winnipesaukee, gardening, and the Lawrence Welk Orchestra. He was a long-time member of Wesley Methodist Church. He was predeceased by his sister Shirley Freeburg and his brother Bob Sundell. He leaves many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at NORDGREN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 300 Lincoln Street on Tuesday, April 3, at 11:00 a.m. After cremation, burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
