Pearl R. (Laflamme) Bureau, age 80, longtime resident of Tyngsboro, formerly of Lowell, died Monday, March 5 in Chelmsford after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Roger Bureau who died in 1997 and had also celebrated a 50th Wedding Anniversary that year.
She was born in Lowell, Nov. 6, 1926, daughter of the late Joseph Aime and Anna (Beaulieu) Laflamme. She attended Ste. Jeanne d'Arc School and the former St. Joseph's Girls High School in Lowell and moved to Tyngsboro in 1963.
Mrs. Bureau was a former officer of Bureau Bros., Inc. Roofers. She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen D. Farinha of Tyngsboro; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Rene L. and Yolande (Bedard) of Lowell, Francis A. and Elaine (Martin) of Henderson, NV, Real A. and Kim (Cote) of Lowell and David A. Bureau and his fiancee, Laura Langley of Hudson, NH; her former daughter-in-law, Katherine (Iverson) Bureau of Hollis, NH; a sister, Claire Chouinard of Dracut; a sister-in-law, Marie Jeanne (Bureau) Bedard of Lowell; 11 grandchildren, Tammy and Kevin Bureau, Lynne (Bureau) Irvin, Paula, Kelly, Brian, Amy and Chad Bureau, Real Bureau Jr., Lauren and Ryan Farinha; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Pauline Vervaert.
Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, March 7th, at the M. R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell, from 4 to 8pm. Funeral Thursday morning with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 o'clock at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Dracut. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford.
