Mrs. Lillian P. (Jacques) Faias, age 85, of Lowell, died on Thursday, March 29th, 2007 at Willow Manor Nursing Home in Lowell following a long illness. She was the widow of Manuel Faias.
She was born in Lowell on June 25th, 1921, daughter of the late Alphonse & Stephanie (Lesage) Jacques.
She was also a communicant of the former St. Jean Baptiste Church in Lowell.
Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Faias was employed as a spinner at Boot Mill and new Market Mill in Lowell. She had also worked at various shoe factories in the area.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law: Gloria & Jack LaBrecque of Ocala, Florida; two sons and daughters-in-law: Roger & Gloria Faias, and Richard & Pauline Faias, all of Lowell; three brothers and two sisters-in-law: Maurice Jacques of Florida, Ralph & Rita Jacques of Dracut, and Robert & Doris Jacques of Lowell; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a special niece, Denise Brunelle, many nieces & nephews.
She was the mother of the late Joan Faias; sister of the late Lucien Jacques, Paul Jacques and Pauline Ducharme.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Monday at 10:00 AM at St. Michael's Church in Lowell. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Michael's Church-543 Bridge St., Lowell, MA 01850. Arrangements by the M.R. LAURIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 295 Pawtucket St., Lowell.
