Mrs. Giovanna (DiCampli) Carmignani 90 of Franklin, died Wednesday March 28, 2007 at the Medway Country Manor Nursing Home, following a long illness. She was the wife of the late Amedeo Carmignani, who died in 1988.
Born in Italy, June 24, 1916 a daughter of the late Annunziato and Assunta (Martello) DiCampli, she came to America in 1958 where she settled with her family in Franklin.
Before her retirement many years ago, she worked as a baker for the former DeBaggis & D’Errico Bakery on Ruggles St. in Franklin. A talented cook, she also enjoyed gardening and walking.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Franklin.
She is survived by a son Anthony Carmignani and his wife Denise of Franklin, 4 grandsons Dennis Carmignani of Franklin, Anthony Carmignani and his wife Jodi of Medway, Joseph Carmignani and his wife Francesca of Franklin, and Nicola Carmignani and his wife Elizabeth of Holbrook. Also surviving are 4 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Saturday March 31, 2007 at 8:15AM from the Charles f. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. www.franklinfuneral.com with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. Franklin at 9AM. Interment will follow in the family lot in the parish cemetery.
