Obituary

DUDLEY– Mildred A. Dapkiewicz, 82, of Dudley, died suddenly at home on Thursday, March 29.

She leaves her sister, Wanda M. Dapkiewicz, with whom she lived; and two nieces, Beverly F. Wedda of Hudson and Susan B. Wedda of Brighton. She was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Wedda, in 1997

She was born and raised in Hopedale, the eldest daughter of John and Jadwiga A. (Zukowski) Dapkiewicz. She moved to Dudley in 1960. She graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in Milford in 1943.

Miss Dapkiewicz first worked as an office clerk at Draper Corporation in Hopedale. She then was a teller and computer operator at the Webster Five Cents Savings Bank in Webster before retiring.

She was an active member of Saint Andrew Bobola Church and an assigned adorer at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel in Webster. She also belonged to the Universal Living Rosary Association.

The funeral will be held Saturday, March 31, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St.reet, Webster, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street.. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. A calling period will be from 9:00 to 10:30 AM Saturday, March 31, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Masses may be made to St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St., PO Box 98, Dudley, MA 01571 or to Saint Joseph’s School Immediate Needs Fund, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570, for the children.
