Michael Eugene “Brute” Robinson, age 56, of Groton went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 27, 2007.
A member of the Eastern Pequot Tribal Nation, he was born in Westerly, RI April 13, 1950 the son of Harold and Thelma (Sebastian) Robinson.
He is survived by his wife Yvonne Robinson of New York; his children, Sholeen Robinson, Adrina Robinson, Shawn Robinson and Derrick Robinson, 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild all of Groton CT; his brothers Russell Robinson, Mark Robinson and Roger Robinson of Groton and New London, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother Rodney Robinson.
His family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Historic downtown Mystic on Monday from 4-7pm. Scattering of his ashes will be held on the Eastern Pequot Reservation on Saturday, April 7th at 12noon followed by a gathering at the Tribal “Long House” on Rte. 2, North Stonington.
