Mrs. Catherine Catania, age 93, of Boston´s North End, died March 28th at the Massachusetts General Hospital following a short illness. She was the beloved wife of Ignazio “Jerry” Catania and the late Louis Pascucci. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Adelina (Folino) Mirabella.
Mostly devoted to her family, Catherine enjoyed knitting and cooking and being home with family and friends.
In addition to her husband Jerry, she is survived by her brothers, John Mirabella of Boston, Joseph Mirabella and his wife Lillian of Roslindale, sisters, Leonora Sapienza and her husband Richard of Roslindale, and Clementina Trovato of Boston. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Catherine is predeceased by her brother Salvatore Mirabella and sister Nolana Mirabella.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Leonard Church, Hanover St., Boston, at 9:45 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
