Obituary

Anna T. (McClafferty) Carnahan a lifelong Charlestown resident, died on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 at Courtyard Nursing Home in Medford after a long illness. She was 93 years old.

Anna was born in Charlestown on January 4, 1914. She has lived in Charlestown her entire life and attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Mount St. Joseph Academy High School in Brighton. Anna worked as an operator at New England Telephone and Telegraph Company for over 30 years.

Anna is the beloved wife of the late Frank A. Carnahan. She is the loving mother of the late Francis G. Carnahan. She is the beloved sister of the late Margaret McClafferty, Agnes O'Halloran, Grace Meehan, John, James and Helen McClafferty. She is the loving aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Anna's visiting hours on Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the Carr Funeral Home 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Catherine's Church 49 Vine St. Charlestown at 12 noon. Burial will take place at Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree.
