Obituary

Pedro Ramos, Jr., 71, of New Bedford died March 28, 2007 at St. Luke's hospital after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Aida L. (Ramos) Ramos with whom he would have celebrated 45 years of marriage this year on April 14th.
Born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Pedro and Susana (Leyda) Ramos, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
He was a member of El Buen Pastor Church in New Bedford.
Mr. Ramos enjoyed playing dominoes and cards with his family and friends. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
He served in the U.S. Army in Korea.
Survivors include his wife; 4 sons, Elvin Ramos, and his wife Enid, Pedro Ramos III, and his wife Shai, and Victor Ramos, and his companion Beth Maiato, all of New Bedford, and David Ramos, and his wife Isabel, of North Carolina; 3 daughters, Lillian Ramos, and her husband Eliseo, of New Bedford, Aida Wyatt, and her husband Terry, of North Carolina, and Migdalia Ramos, and her husband Jorge, of Plymouth; 2 brothers, Jose Ramos and Mariano Ramos, both of New Jersey; a sister, Elena Ramos of Puerto Rico; Larry Lopes, who was like a son; 17 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Abelardo Ramos and Susana Ramos.
His Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 31st at 9 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours on Friday, March 30th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
