Obituary




Worcester - William Sven Skalin, 84, died Monday, March 26, 2007, in Autumn Village. He leaves his wife of 54 years, Doris (Gullmes) Skalin; one son, Paul W. Skalin of Worcester; four daughters, Linda J. Shubert of West Boylston, Carol I. Stearns, Janet Skalin, and Elaine J. Skalin all of Worcester; one sister, Elsie Biscardi of Worcester; six grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He was predeceased by a son, Raymond C. Skalin and a sister and brother. He was born in Sundsvall, Sweden, son of Carl and Linnea (Wicklund) Skalin. He was a World War II veteran and served in the European Theater. He worked at Lindbergh Heat Treating for 30 years.

Funeral services will be held at NORDGREN MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 300 Lincoln Street Friday, March 30, at 1:30 p.m. A calling hour will be held at 12:30 p.m. Burial will follow in All Faiths Cemetery. For directions and on-line condolences, please click below.
