William Eliot Libby

BOSTON- William Eliot Libby died Monday night March 26 at Tewksbury Hospital after a courageous
battle with cancer.
Eliot was born in Hiram, Maine on October 15, 1948 one of eleven children of the late
Burton and Mildred (Braley) Libby.
He Graduated Gorham High School then attended The University of Southern Maine.
Eliot moved to boston in 1978 and worked as a broker for Keyston Bank of Boston. He studied
to speak fluent Spanish and French to become an English tutor for foreign students.
Eliot loved music, writing and reading books, and traveling the world. He was known for his
welcoming personality.
William Eliot is survived by four sisters; Rosemary and her husband Henry Johnson of
Gorham, Jennifer Libby of Hiram, Linda Stanley of Cornish, Donna Day and her husband Francis
of Cornish. Two brothers Phillip Libby of Cornish, and Larry and his wife Marie Libby of Hollis.
He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He is the brother of the late Virginia Rogers, Joan Pelkey, Kerry and Robert Libby.
Mr. Libby will have a spring burial at Riverside Cemetery, Cornish, Maine. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society Centralized Memorial Processing Center 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701
