SALEM, NH - Fay K. Furey died Monday morning March 26, after a brief battle with cancer.
Fay was born in Somerville on December 17, 1952 a daughter of Tom and Gloria (Boni) Furey of Tewksbury. She was raised in Tewksbury and graduated Tewksbury High class of 1970. She worked as a buyer at L-3 Communications, SSG-Tinsley Inc. in Wilmington. Fay was an avid sports fan and had a love for life and the outdoors. Besides her parents she is survived by a brother John "Bob" Furey of NC, a sister and brother-in-law Gail and her husband William Johnson of Andover, two nephews Sean Furey of CA and Ryan Furey of Methuen, three nieces Nicole, Meagan and Kelly Johnson all of Andover, a step granddaughter Sabrina Cordeiro, a close friend Walter Cullinan, beloved friends Krysten and Shannon Cordeiro and many cousins and loving friends
Her funeral was held Friday, March 30, at St. William's Church. Burial followed at Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover. In lieu of flowers, memorials donations can be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute - Direct to Lung Cancer, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6 Brookline, MA 02445-9924.
