Obituary

Rene H. Leclerc, 74, of Windham, NH, died Monday, March 26, 2007 in the Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare in Nashua, NH. Mr. Leclerc was born in Woonsockett, RI on November 24, 1932, a son of the late Alpherie and Cecile (Lamay) Leclerc. He was a resident of Windham for past six years, formerly living in Portsmouth, NH. Mr. Leclerc was a US Air Force veteran, employed as an aircraft mechanic, retiring in 1974. He was a communicant of St. Matthews Church in Windham.
He is survived by his wife, Paola (Metellini) Leclerc of Windham; two daughters, Denise Lewis of Chestnut Hill, MA, and Lisa Tovey of Windham; six grandchildren, Jacquelyn Lewis, Nicholas Lewis, James Tovey, Nicholas Tovey, Megan Tovey, and Catherine Tovey; one brother, Charles Leclerc of Woonsockett, RI; and one sister, Pauline Ferschke of Woonsockett.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, March 29th at 10:00am in St. Matthews Church, 2 Searles Rd., Windham. The burial was in the Cemetery on the Plain in Windham. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry handled the arrangements.
