North Andover, MA – Raymond J. Mahoney, 85, died Monday March 26, 2007 at the Prescott House of North Andover.
Born in Lowell Mr. Mahoney had been a longtime Lawrence resident.
Raymond was a graduate of the Rollins Grammar school in South Lawrence a graduate of Lawrence High School class of “1938” and Saint John’s Prep.
He was a communicant of Saint Patrick’s Church, and a member of Saint Patrick’s Holy Name.
Mr. Mahoney graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy as a Merchant Marine Officer U.S. Navy in Boston, Massachusetts.
For many years Raymond had been employed with Rayloc/a division of Genuine Parts, Co. prior to his retirement.
According to Mr. Mahoneys family he was an avid sports fan and also enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of 62 yrs. Doris M. (Mahoney) Mahoney
Children; Raymond J. and his wife Charlene Mahoney, Michael P. and his wife Kathy Mahoney, and Dennis J. Mahoney, 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will take place on Thursday morning at 11 o’clock in Saint Patrick’s Church of South Lawrence with burial to follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover.
