Obituary

Miss Eileen L. Cataldo 86 of 130 Chestnut Street, Franklin, died Saturday, March 24, 2007 at the Franklin Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Franklin, following a long illness.

Born in Franklin, August 29, 1920 a daughter of the late Henry C. and Anna M. (Pasini) Cataldo, she was a lifelong town resident. She was educated in local schools, and until her retirement 24 years ago, worked as an office worker for the Foxboro Co.

She was a member of the Franklin Senior Citizens, The American Association of Retired Persons, was a lifetime communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Franklin, where she was an active member of its Legion of Mary, and Catholic Women’s Club.

She is survived by 2 sister-in-laws: Virginia (Catalano) Cataldo of Franklin, Joan (Jewett) Cataldo of Narragansett, RI, and was the beloved aunt to: Henry C. Cataldo, Jr. of CT, Dr. Anne Cataldo, Donna F. Taft of CT, Mary V. Hopkins of Norfolk, Anne E. Fleming of Franklin, Joseph F. Carr, Jr. of Salem, NH, Rev. James P. Carr SJ of Syracuse, NY, Robert F. Carr of Wrentham, Donald F. Cataldo, Jr. of RI, Christine A. Farren of North Attleboro, Cathleen A. Pegg of Plainville, Caren A. Gresh of Ellington, CT and Jennifer M. Peters of S. Kingstown, RI, and the late Stephen M. Carr.

She was the sister of the late: Henry C. Cataldo, Donald F. Cataldo, and Virginia T. Carr all of Franklin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday, March 28, at 8:15 AM from the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, www.franklinfuneral.com, with a Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Church Square, at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Cataldo family lot in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 6-8 PM.
